A class of her own in the FEI Dressage World Cup™ - Jessica von Bredow-Werndl wins short Grand Prix
The dressage riders have now also started in their FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final at PARTNER PFERD, presented by Sparkasse Leipzig and Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe Sachsen. The elegant ladies and gentlemen in tails enchanted in the most difficult dressage lessons - with Jessica von Bredow-Werndl it once again looked particularly easy. In the jumping course, Emilia Löser won the Selleria Equipe Golden Saddle.
They went into the FEI Dressage World Cup™ Short Grand Prix, presented by Liselott and Klaus Rheinberger Foundation as house-high favorites and fully lived up to it: Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and her unique TSF Dalera BB won by a comfortable margin. Second place went to Cathrin Dufour from Denmark with her only ten-year-old Vamos Amigos. Third place went to Isabell Werth with her wonderful Weihegold OLD.
"It is hard to find even better words for this horse than I have already," Jessica von Bredow-Werndl said about TSF Dalera BB "She always gives 100 percent. If mistakes happen, I make them. And I actually still feel that she is progressing." The FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final will be Jessica von Bredow-Werndl's last major assignment before her baby break. Cathrine Dufour also expressed her happiness, "I am super happy with Vamos Amigos. He really surprised me and was very motivated in the test, but also concentrated well." Dressage queen Isabell Werth lined up third: "I am very proud of Weihegold. She was very focused and in super form. It's a pleasure to present her like this." On Saturday, she will celebrate her freestyle for the last time and then retire the mare.
There was a special honor for the young Spaniard Juan Matute Guimón, who received the Familie Anrecht Harmony and Fairness Prize for his strikingly fine riding style in the saddle of his proven Quantico.
On Friday afternoon, a traditional competition for young show jumpers was already decided, which was the Selleria Equipe Golden Saddle in memoriam Hans Günter Winkler. Here four selected U21 riders meet to find their best in a change of horses. The winner was Emilia Löser (Niederneisen), who achieved scores above 9.0 in three rounds in the saddles of her competitors' horses - 10 is the highest score. Only with her own horse did she miss a higher score: "The mistake was definitely on my head," laughed the 21-year-old, admitting that she had quite a bit of respect before changing horses: "It was great fun and I would ride such a test again any time. I liked Emma Bachl's horse best, he felt like he was ready for bigger tasks right away, too," enthused Löser.
The PARTNER PFERD Friday starts with the CWD Prize for the SPOOKS Amateur Trophy, before the FUNDIS Youngster Tour opens the course to the seven and eight year old young horses. After the IDEE KAFFEE Prize, the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final will move on to the second competition, with a jump-off. The vaulters then enter the FEI Vaulting World Cup™ Final presented by Hirmer Hospitality with the first round. The day will end on a high note with the CG Elementum Speed Cup and the first round of the FEI Driving World Cup™ Final presented by Sparkasse.
